It Really Is All A Joke
The most basic truths about writing are the ones most easily forgotten - here is a little primer I wrote about always checking in with the most basic piece of structural knowledge as a way of testing the integrity of my work! It really does all comes in threes, my friends, all of it!

What I Do On The Page
A no-holds-barred, blow-by-blow account of why I write scripts the way I write them. I don't presume to dictate the elements of style to any other writer, but I hope that by going deep behind the scenes and showing my own process, others may be moved to more closely consider the writing of a script as not just the rendering of a blueprint, but the creation of a work of art on its own right.

The Right To Not Bear Arms
I wrote this in 2013 in response to a Newsweek cover story written by David Mamet. In the time since, both America and Mamet have gone exponentially more insane (and - at least in the case of Mamet, that's really saying something) but my basic premise remains the same: I deserve the right to not bear arms.
